Creating a project

Templates, rate cards, and getting a project ready for workers.

A project is a batch of labeling work: a task type (template), a price per unit, task data, and instructions for workers. Projects are created from the client portal dashboard.

Creating a project#

  1. 1Open /client/dashboard and click New project.
  2. 2Pick a template. Templates define what workers see and produce: bounding boxes, text classification, audio transcription, LLM response rating, and many more, grouped by domain (vision, video, text, LLM, audio).
  3. 3Pick a rate card.Only rate cards compatible with your template's domain are offered. You'll see a live preview of the cost per task as you choose.
  4. 4Name the project, add a description workers will see, and create it.
  5. 5Add your task data and instructions (next pages), then fund your balance so workers can start.

Template and pricing must match

You can't price an image project with a text rate card, the platform blocks incompatible combinations at creation, because billable units are counted from the actual annotations and a mismatched unit type would count zero.

One worker per task#

Each task is completed by a single worker and then quality-checked by a reviewer. Consensus (multiple workers per task) is not part of the current release.
