Pricing & rate cards
Per-unit pricing, cost previews, and when you get refunds.
Per-unit pricing#
Work is priced per unit, the natural atom of the task type: a bounding box, a labeled object, a word of transcription, a rated response. Your rate card sets the price per unit; the cost of a task is units × rate, computed from what the worker actually produced.
| You pay | Which covers |
|---|---|
| Labeling rate × units | The worker who completes the task |
| Review margin | Quality-control review of sampled tasks |
Knowing the cost up front#
The project creation form shows a live per-task price preview for your chosen template and rate card. Each task also has a per-task unit cap, so a runaway annotation can't produce an unbounded charge.
When you get money back#
- Rejected work, if a reviewer rejects a task, your balance is refunded for it.
- Deleted annotations, deleting submitted work in the labeling tool reverses its charge.
✓ Price fairly
Workers see the pay before accepting a task. Projects priced below the going rate for their difficulty simply don't get picked up, if your project sits idle, the rate is the first thing to check.
